10 Abandoned Puppies Rescued in Odessa, Police Seek Information

ODESSA, TX — Animal officials are seeking information leading to an arrest in the case of 10 puppies abandoned last week in Odessa.

The puppies, described as Chihuahua mixes and only five weeks old, were reported to be found by a good samaritan at Casa Bella Park and are now in the care of rescue organizations.

The puppies, which were left without their mother, are currently being nursed back to health.

The Odessa Animal Shelter, Dog Rescue R Us, and Colorado Puppy Rescue have all collaborated in this effort.

“Chihuahua mix pups, abandoned, no mom, so we don’t know the mix for sure," Colorado Puppy Rescue stated. "They’re only 5 weeks old, so they need at least three more weeks before they can go up."

The puppies are reported to be healthy and are on the path to finding their forever homes. Authorities hope that someone with information will come forward to aid in the investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Odessa Police Department at 432-333-3641.
