PARIS, FRANCE – Snoop Dogg, the renowned American rapper, is set to carry the Olympic torch through the streets of Paris ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics. The opening ceremony is scheduled for July 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
Snoop Dogg, 52, will navigate the torch through the Saint-Denis neighborhood, an underprivileged area in northern Paris. This route includes significant landmarks such as the Stade de France Olympic Stadium and concludes at the Eiffel Tower.
Saint-Denis Mayor Mathieu Hanotin announced the rapper’s participation via social media.
The rapper’s involvement comes as part of a diverse cast selected for the torch relay’s final stretch before the Olympic flame reaches the cauldron. Snoop Dogg, also known for his contributions to youth sports through his Snoop Youth Football League, is joining NBC’s primetime coverage of the Games.
