JUNCTION, TX — The Hill Country town of Junction has experienced significant flooding after heavy rain in the area Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
No deaths or injuries have been reported.
The Kimble County Sheriff's Office reported it was assisting with evacuations for people living in the Johnson Fork Creek area, which had risen to nearly 30 feet according to a Lower Colorado River Authority gauge.

Numerous roads in the county were shut down due to flood waters, including South US Highway 377.
Junction was hit by a flood in 2018 that claimed the lives of four people, including San Angelo's Darin Hartman.
The town is located about 100 miles southeast of San Angelo.
