The splash pad ribbon-cutting set for July 25.

The City of San Angelo in collaboration with All-Tex Irrigation & Supply, will hold a ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, for the opening of the new splash pad at Unidad Park, located at 3245 Vista Del Arroyo Drive.

The event will include snow cones and other refreshments that will be available for purchase from various food and drink vendors.

The splash pad at Unidad Park is a testament to the leadership and dedication of the All-Tex splash pad board members. Their steadfast efforts successfully secured the required funds and in-kind support to bring this project to fruition.

To date, they have successfully raised over $800,000 through community donation and grant approvals.

The event will also include recognition of the leaders and major donors who played significant roles in making the splash pad a reality.

The City of San Angelo continues to seek support for the splash pad at Kirby Park, located at 1402 Edmund Boulevard.

The hope is to begin implementation this fall/winter and have the splash pad ready for use by spring 2025, with less than $100,000 needed to reach the fundraising goal.

The San Angelo Area Foundation has been instrumental in supporting this project as well.
