LOS ANGELES, CA — "The King of Country," is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, adding another accolade to his legendary career.
George Strait is part of the 2025 class of honorees for the prestigious award.
Strait joins a notable list of recording artists who will receive their stars over the next two years, including Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, Green Day, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, Keith Urban, WAR, and Prince (posthumously).
“The Walk of Fame has made history again! As Chairman of the Walk of Fame Selection Committee, I am thrilled to announce the distinguished honorees who will grace the iconic Walk of Fame in the Class of 2025. Each honoree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields,” stated Peter Roth, Chairman. "The committee and I cannot wait to see our honorees becoming part of this world-famous walkway.”
Recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire, information from the Hollywood Walk of Fame stated.
On June 15, 2024, Strait achieved another milestone, drawing a record-breaking crowd at Kyle Field in College Station. With two opening acts, the concert attracted more than 110,905 attendees, making it the most-attended ticketed concert in U.S. history.
