Man Indicted for Touching a Young Child's Private Areas

SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo man has been indicted for repeatedly touching a child’s private areas.

Matthew Gonzalez Delarosa, 35, was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14.

According to court documents, during the summer of 2023, investigators received a Child Protection Service intake alleging that Delarosa had inappropriately touched a child in her bed on more than one occasion. One incident allegedly occurred in Abilene at a hotel and the other in July of 2023 in San Angelo.

Delarosa allegedly touched the 11-year-old child’s chest and private areas.

In a non-custodial interview with Delarosa, he allegedly admitted to touching the child at a Super 8 hotel in Abilene and at a residence on the 1300 block of East 24th Street.

Delarosa was arrested on April 24, 2024, and is currently an inmate in the Tom Green County Jail being held on $600,000 bond.
