Big Rig Wipes Out on I-10 Causing Fiery Crash

OZONA, TX — A truck tractor towing a semi trailer full of roofing materials crashed on I-10 in Crockett County early this morning closing the interstate.

According to Crockett County EMS, the trucker appeared to have collided with the concrete siding on a bridge in the eastbound lanes. Part of the truck tractor's semi trailer is pictured dangling off the bridge while below is a mountain of roofing material in rolls in the creek draw. 

Both of the occupants of the truck escaped before it caught fire. Crockett County Fire and EMS responded with 18 personel and seven firefighting vehicles. 

To avoid the crash scene that will leave the interstate closed until the afteroon, Crockett County EMS suggests exiting I-10 at Howard Draw mile marker 350, and cross the Interstate to the old US 290, or FM 2398, to head eastbound.
