San Angelo Man Arrested for Tackling Elderly Victim onto Broken Glass

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was arrested for tackling an elderly victim onto a piece of broken glass.

This happened on June 1, 2024, when Jonathan Canava, 32, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department for injury to an elderly individual.

According to court documents, Canava intentionally tackled a man who was over 65 years of age, to the ground. When the victim went to the ground, a piece of broken glass impaled the victim’s hand.

Canava was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail and is currently being held on a $35,000 bond.
