Triple-Digit Heat on the Horizon

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - The upcoming days will bring a significant increase in temperatures, with triple-digit heat expected early next week, according to the National Weather Service. 

Today, San Angelo will see sunny skies with a high near 86 degrees, accompanied by a northwest wind around 5 mph. Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear with a low of around 62 degrees and calm winds.

The heat begins to rise on Saturday, with a sunny and hot day expected to reach a high of nearly 98 degrees. Winds will shift to the south-southwest at approximately 5 mph, NWS reports. Saturday night will be clear with a low of around 70 degrees and a southeast wind of about 5 mph.

Sunday will bring even higher temperatures, with the mercury hitting nearly 100 degrees under sunny skies. South winds will blow at 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Sunday night will be mostly clear with a low of around 73 degrees and continued south winds around 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Monday's forecast predicts the highest temperatures yet, with a scorching 102 degrees expected. The day will remain sunny, with south-southwest winds at 10 mph and gusts reaching 20 mph. Monday night will see partly cloudy skies with a low of around 75 degrees and persistent south winds.

Tuesday continues the trend with another hot day, reaching a high near 102 degrees. Winds will be from the west-southwest at 10 mph, gusting up to 20 mph. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with a low of around 70 degrees and winds shifting to the southeast after midnight.

Wednesday offers a slight reprieve from the intense heat, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 94 degrees. Wednesday night introduces a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with partly cloudy skies and a low of around 67 degrees.

Thursday maintains a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 96 degrees.
