San Angelo Gives Marks Decade of Giving Today

SAN ANGELO, TX — The 10th anniversary of San Angelo Gives, a 24-hour online fundraising event has officially begun today, May 7. 

The mission of San Angelo Gives, which is “powered by” the San Angelo Area Foundation, is to support local nonprofits through philanthropy and community engagement.

In its decade-long run, San Angelo Gives has facilitated over $22 million in donations since its inception in 2015. 

Last year alone, the generosity of donors from across the region resulted in more than 12,000 gifts, accumulating over $4.1 million. 

Those interested have until 11:59 p.m. to give today. 

Preliminary numbers on the website show $592,233 have been donated at the time of this reporting. The numbers also show that there have been 2,617 donations to 223 organizations.
