SAN ANGELO, TX — We reported earlier that Concho Valley PAWS needed help managing approximately 80 dogs rescued from a single property.
"We must refrain from judgment because our first interactions with the owners have indicated that this is not a cruel situation but rather a situation of good intentions that have gotten out of control," Concho Valley PAWS stated. “As PAWS begins to seek placement with local homes and rescue partners near and far, we need help from our community to keep these dogs safe and prevent them from being a burden on an already full shelter."
Now, Concho Valley PAWS said they received donations that could help with vaccines, spay/neuter, and “various vet care like parasite treatment.”
PAWS also stated that a few dogs have been thoroughly vetted and adopted, and they have brought 14 more dogs from the property to be fixed and prepared for adoption.
“We still have many more to help,” PAWS stated.
Concho Valley PAWS is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
They will be open from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
PAWS is located at 3134 N, US-67.
