Nineteen men and and women wanted on warrants were booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Tuesday; an additional four were jailed for offenses alleged to have been committed within the last 24 hours.
The booking report shows that those four booked on complaints included two charged with theft, one charged with assault and one charged with driving while license invalid. Warrant arrests ran the gamut and included the usual DWI, possession and credit card abuse charges, as well as a warrant on a 67-year-old man, Joe Johnson Ollie Jr. According to records, Johnson was convicted of indecency with a 12-year-old including sexual contact in 1992. He was sentenced to 18 years and released on parole and has not registered since May.
Twenty-one inmates were released on Tuesday.
