Major Crash at FM 2288 and Arden Road Shuts Down Intersection

SAN ANGELO, TX — A major crash at the intersection of FM 2288 and Arden Rd. shut down the busy intersection just after 5 p.m. today. The Texas DPS investigated the crash.

A late model Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup truck was seen near the intersection with its front grill missing. A highway stop sign was also toppled in the crash.

Parked near by is a red GMC Terrain but from the rear of that vehicle we do not see any damage.

Across the highway was a blue GMC SUV crashed in the barrow ditch with its airbags deployed. An ambulance departed from that GMC at around 5:30 p.m. with lights and sirens.

The crash appears to involve those two vehicles. DPS rarely offers information at the crash scene unless there are fatalities. In this case, the trooper investigating said the blue GMC SUV failed to yield the right-of-way and the driver of the GMC was rushed to Shannon ER. No one in the white Chevy pickup was injured, the trooper said.
