Weekend Report Reflects only One DWI

Only one suspected drunk driver was arrested by law enforcement over the weekend, a significant drop from the average two to per three per day usually seen on Fridays through Sundays.

Stanley David Ray, 40, was stopped by a DPS trooper early on Saturday and ultimately booked at 12:20 p.m. for driving while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.15 or greater, twice the legal limit.

Joining Ray in the county correctional facility on Saturday were 28 others the vast majority of whom were jailed for warrants. Some of those picked up on fresh offenses included two charged with evading arrest, two charged with assault, two charged with public intoxication, one accused of purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor and one charged with theft.

Nineteen were released on Saturday.

On Sunday, 20 were booked and 20 were released.

On Friday, 30 were booked while 27 were released.
