SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Central Bobcats Football Program has a possible new list of opponents for next season. Nothing can be officially confirmed as of yet, but word around town is the possible 2024 Bobcats’ football schedule is here.
- August 30 - Abilene High
- September 6 - @ Amarillo High
- ***September 13 - @ Cooper
- September 20 - Belton
- September 27 - Waco
- October 4 - Open -
- October 11 - @ Midland Legacy
- October 18 - Odessa Permian
- October 25 - @ Midland High
- November 1 - Odessa High
- November 8 - @ Frenship
*** The schedule we received did not specify which Cooper. It could be Abilene Cooper or Lubbock Cooper.

This tentative schedule may change as we progress through the first half of 2024. San Angelo LIVE! received word of the schedule but have not had an official news release from San Angelo ISD. The Bobcats have a new head coach at the helm in Mark Smith this season, so it is only fitting that the ‘Cats have a new slew of opponents this year as well.
According to Dave Campbell’s TexasFootball and the UIL’s website, the 2024 season officially begins on Thursday, August 29. Playoffs begin on November 14 and run through the state championships beginning on Wednesday, December 18.
