SAN ANGELO— The ASU Rams baseball team went 1-1 with the UY Tyler Patriots on Saturday for their doubleheader and have a chance to tie up the four game series today.
After losing on Friday to UT Tyler, 5-8, the Rams played a doubleheader on Saturday and things did not start off that well for the Rams. Matter of fact, going into the third inning, the Rams were down 6-0. From the bottom of the third until the bottom of the fifth however, the Rams woke up and took the lead 7-6.
The Patriots reclaimed the lead by hitting two straight home runs to make the score 8-6.
With the Rams back at bat, Angelo State ended up bringing in 16 runs, most of which came with two outs on the board.
In the second game of the day, the Patriots would come out victorious, 5-8.
Now, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Rams have a chance to tie it up in Game 4 at 1:00 p.m.
