SAN ANGELO, TX — A three-vehicle crash shut down the intersection of the Loop 306 service road and Southwest Blvd. and one of the vehicles is a mystery.
According to police, the investigation is turning up nothing about what the two other drivers said caused the crash. What police do know is a black sedan was southbound on Southwest and a minivan was headed eastbound on the access road. Police believe it was traveling at a high rate of speed. When the van crashed into the back sedan, the force of the impact caused it to rollover.
When police interviewed the drivers, officers were told there was a third vehicle that caused the crash. Hence, the mystery crash with the recently opened McDonald’s as the backdrop.
At least two were rushed to Shannon Medical Center for injuries, but police said there were no critical injuries. As seen in the photos, airbags in at least one car deployed successfully.
The weather was clear and the roadways dry when the crash happened at around 8:30 p.m.
