SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Animal Shelter is facing a critical situation as of Wednesday, Jan. 31, with an urgent need for adoptions, fostering, or transfers to avoid euthanizing 16 dogs due to exceeding its capacity.
The facility currently houses 185 dogs on-site. The San Angelo Animal Shelter must maintain a population of under 180 dogs at all times.
The shelter has set a deadline of 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Unless these 16 dogs find adoptive homes, foster families, or alternative rescue placements by the specified time, euthanasia will be the unfortunate outcome.
Those interested in making a difference and potentially saving these dogs are urged to contact Jen at [email protected] as soon as possible.
For those looking to explore available shelter pets, a listing can be found on 24petconnect.com.
