FORT WORTH, TX - A 51-year-old delivery driver, Scott Jackson, in Fort Worth, Teas lost his life in a brutal attack by a naked man in a brutal assault using firewood. Jackson, known for his generosity and reliability, was brutally beaten to death with the firewood he was delivering during his job.
The tragic event occurred on Saturday while Jackson was delivering firewood to a location where a man, who wishes to remain anonymous, was present. According to the witness, a naked man identified as Chrisantus Omondi confronted them, accusing them of being on his property and in his house. Despite attempts to de-escalate the situation and proceed with their work, Omondi became violent.
In a disturbing turn of events, Omondi grabbed a piece of firewood and struck Jackson in the head, causing fatal injuries. The witness, who managed to escape the attack, recounted the terrifying experience, expressing that he faced death during the assault.
The assailant, Omondi, retreated to an Airbnb down the street, where he had rented a single room. Court documents reveal that he continued his erratic behavior, attempting to force his way into another room while still naked and yelling threats.
Law enforcement responded to the scene, using a Taser on Omondi after he refused to comply with their commands. The victim's daughter, Kasey DeLeon, expressed her grief and shock, emphasizing the devastating loss her family has endured.
DeLeon is torn between seeking justice for her father and finding forgiveness for the assailant. Omondi is now facing murder charges and is in custody with a $300,000 bond.
