CHICAGO, IL — A Chicago man, Nikko D’Ambrosio, has initiated a legal action seeking $75,000 in damages from each of the 27 women who allegedly posted negative reviews on a private Facebook page titled "Are We Dating The Same Guy." In a lawsuit filed in the Northern District of Illinois, D’Ambrosio claims defamation, doxxing, and invasion of privacy.
According to the complaint, the woman described him as "clingy" on the private Facebook page, leading to harm to his reputation. The lawsuit also includes a man and a Facebook parent Meta as defendants.

The "Are We Dating The Same Guy" Facebook page describes itself as a community focusing on "Red Flag Awareness," where women support each other and share information about "toxic men." D’Ambrosio contends that the page's subgroups across the country enable users to attack the character of men they've encountered online.
The complaint alleges that the defendants knowingly spread false and malicious lies about D’Ambrosio, causing personal humiliation, mental anguish, emotional distress, stress, anxiety, and lost earnings. The filing recounts an encounter where D’Ambrosio had consensual sex with a woman after meeting at a cultural event in Chicago. Subsequent posts on the Facebook group accused him of being clingy, flaunting wealth, and displaying a negative demeanor during business calls.
D’Ambrosio's lawsuit characterizes the defendants' conduct as outrageous and beyond the bounds of decency in a civilized community.
