Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Celebrated with Community Support

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Tuesday, Jan. 9, the San Angelo Police Department extended its appreciation to the dedicated men and women who don the badge to ensure the safety of our communities.

The San Angelo Police Department asks residents to take a moment to express thanks to their local law enforcement officers for their commitment to public safety.

Local Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets have joined hands with the San Angelo Police Department by providing goodie bags for officers.

“We truly appreciate the support our citizens and local businesses show our officers throughout the year,” the police department stated. 

Acknowledging the role that law enforcement plays in ensuring the safety of educational institutions, San Angelo Independent School District also extended its appreciation to the men and women of local law enforcement, with a special mention for the Student Resource Officers.

“San Angelo ISD is appreciative of the men and women of our local law enforcement, especially our Student Resource Officers, who answer the call to protect and serve our students, staff, and community,” the school district stated. “Thank you, San Angelo Police Department and Tom Green County Sheriff's Office - Texas, for your service to San Angelo!”
