Drunk driving was the leading cause for jail bookings over the weekend, accounting for three individuals booked on Friday, four on Saturday and three on Sunday. Public intoxication accounted for nearly as many, bringing in only one person on Friday and Sunday, but five on Saturday, and marijuana possession brought in five more, including one person on Friday and four on Saturday.
Friday saw a total of 36 individuals booked into the county correctional facility, and the bookings also included one person jailed for assault and one person jailed for drug possession. Twenty-five inmates were released on Friday.
On Saturday, the number of bookings dropped to 33, including one more possession charge, one person charged with evading arrest, and another man, 36-year-old Vincent Royce Saucedo, who was jailed for injuring an officer in an assault, resisting arrest, public intoxication and interfering with public duties. Eighteen inmates were released on Saturday.
On Sunday, 24 inmates were booked into the jail, including two people charged with assault, one charged with evading arrest, one charged with minor in consumption of alcohol and one charged with theft. Thirty inmates were released on Sunday.
