Sheriff’s Office Participates in TXDOT STEP Campaign

SAN ANGELO, TX - The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office announced its partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation in the “End the Streak” campaign.

The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office will actively participate in monthly traffic campaigns to locate and deter traffic violators in areas where traffic crashes are more prevalent in our community.

“Distracted driving, driving while under the influence, and unsafe following distances have been identified as some of the primary causes for vehicle crashes and commercial vehicle crashes during the holiday season,” the Sheriff’s office stated. “We want motorists in our community to remember to put cellular devices away, give plenty of space between traveling vehicles, and always remain mindful of others on the roadways.

“Please help us keep the roadways safe by helping put away the distractions.”
