Fort Worth Police Officer Arrested for DWI

 

FORT WORTH, TX — A Fort Worth police officer, Eduardo Gasca, has been assigned to restricted duty after his arrest for suspected drunken driving, as confirmed by authorities over the weekend.

Officer Gasca was apprehended by the Venus Police Department on Saturday, December 23, approximately 30 miles south of Fort Worth.

A veteran of the Fort Worth Police Department with a tenure of 10 years, Gasca has been divested of all police powers and placed on restricted duty while an investigation into his case unfolds.

In response to the incident, the Fort Worth Police Department released a statement affirming their commitment to upholding high standards both on and off duty. "The Fort Worth Police Department holds its officers to a high standard on and off duty; therefore, a thorough investigation to collect and review the facts and the circumstances of these allegations will be conducted," stated the department.
