ABILENE, TX— A woman has been arrested on a charge of Sexual Assault of a Child after allegedly sexually abusing a minor bull rider during an event in Abilene.
Alexis Esperanza Martinez was taken into custody and booked into the Taylor County Jail on Thursday in connection to the accusations, according to court documents.
The documents state that in August 2021, Martinez, then 29 years old, was involved in an event in Abilene where she was working alongside a retired Hall of Fame bull rider coaching and overseeing minor bull riders.
According to the court records, Martinez allegedly persuaded a 16-year-old bull rider to accompany her to her hotel under the pretext of checking on her dogs. Once at the hotel, she engaged in sexual activity with the minor and convinced him to film the encounter on his cell phone, subsequently requesting him to send her the video.
Further details outlined in the documents highlight that during an interview conducted by the Texas Rangers, Martinez reportedly admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the minor and acknowledged that this was not the first instance. She also confessed to being aware of the existence of the video made by the minor and revealed that several other minor bull riders had access to it.
Martinez is currently facing charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of the minor bull rider, as detailed in the court documents.
