Texas Department of Public Safety Tuesday arrested an individual for driving drunk with a child in the car. The 36-year-old male, Geronimo Luis Escobedo, was booked into the county jail at 2:30 a.m. for DWI with a child under the age of 15, a state jail felony. Escobedo has been visitor to the county correctional facility on numerous occasions, including a few other alcohol-related bookings and several for assault. He has one prior DWI conviction.
Joining Escobedo in the jail early Tuesday morning was 33-year-old Regino Martinez Ramirez, also booked for driving while intoxicated, plus 25 others primarily jailed on warrants over the past 24 hours. Other non-warrant arrests included two jailed for public intoxication, one person jailed for marijuana and one person jailed for possession of a controlled substance.
Twenty-five inmates were released on Monday.
