Party Boy Indicted for Abandoning Children to Go Drinking

ABILENE, Texas — An Abilene man has been indicted by a Taylor County Grand Jury for abandoning his children to go drinking in a local bar.

Sebastian Garduno was indicted by a Taylor County Grand Jury Thursday for an Abandoning Child with Intent to Return charge in connection to the allegations.

Court documents state officers attempted to contact Garduno at a south Abilene bar in November 2022 because he was harassing employees, but he left before they arrived.

According to documents, a family member reported that Garduno had left his children unattended at home, presenting officers with doorbell camera footage of his departure.

Upon investigation, officers proceeded to Garduno's residence, where they discovered two children, aged one and two, alone and asleep in their beds.

No additional information has been disclosed at this time.

Garduno was initially arrested for the offense in August and subsequently released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
