LAVAL, Quebec — Last week, McDonald's made an unusual move by opening a new store at 8075 Avenue Marcel-Villeneuve in Saint-Francois, Level, Quebec. Surprisingly, the location was in a farm field, devoid of access to electricity.
The restaurant announced on Facebook, "Officially open for business. Our staff awaits you at our new restaurant." Recently, TikTok user @thumbs.up.canuck noticed the new McDonald's location near him. Instead of mere excitement, he expressed confusion, primarily regarding the restaurant's peculiar location. The man was bewildered by the remote setting of the new McDonald's, noting a lack of nearby electricity and stating, "They’re running the damn place on a generator!"
Numerous TikTok users speculated and proposed theories, with some suggesting a corporate insight held by McDonald's Canada. One user commented, "Then you know what else is coming; they wouldn't put it there for nothing." Another added, "In two years, it will be surrounded by strategically planned houses." A third remarked, "All the surrounding farms are about to be purchased and sold to developers."
Several other commenters theorized that the area might soon undergo development, positioning McDonald's as the initial presence in this evolving landscape. While some pondered the prospect of the location evolving into a major truck stop, the prevailing belief appeared to be a strategic real estate move. Commenters speculated that this area is likely slated for future development, prompting McDonald's to acquire the property at a lower cost, anticipating increased traffic in the coming years.
Meanwhile, the Southwest Mcdonald's is still under construction while San Angeloans await its grand opening. To read more about our local Mcdonald's click HERE.
