Lubbock Teen Shot and Killed Stealing Guns and Breaking into Vehicles

LUBBOCK— A Lubbock teen was shot and killed while allegedly stealing firearms and breaking into vehicles in South Lubbock Sunday morning.

Lubbock Police were dispatched to University Medical Center in the early morning hours on Sunday for a 14-year-old gunshot victim. The victim was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle after he was shot.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to reports and the Lubbock Police, the teen was shot near 82nd Street and Highway 87. The victim, two other juveniles, and three other individuals were allegedly burglarizing vehicles and stealing firearms.
