Dolly Parton & United Way of the Concho Valley Giving Books to Kids

SAN ANGELO, Texas – In a move to bolster early childhood education across the Concho Valley, United Way announced the launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

According to information released by the organization, the program is designed to mail one free book per month to children aged birth to five.

The initiative will extend its reach to cover the 14 counties of the Concho Valley.

A priority at UWCV is to ensure all children are school-ready by kindergarten and grade-level readers by 3rd grade.

Household registration for this program is scheduled to commence in Spring 2024.

The program stated that studies show early literacy is important to the success of a child and even adulthood.
