Captain Bigham Officially Announces Bid for Constable

 

SAN ANGELO – State Park Police Captain Thomas Bigham will announce his bid for the Republican nomination for Precinct 4 Constable at 5:30pm Friday at the Tom Green County courthouse.

As we reported exclusively, Captain Bigham was the first candidate to announce for Pct. 4 Constable in Tom Green County.  

Bigham is retiring from Texas Parks and Wildlife at the end of December. He previously retired after 20 years service from the San Angelo Police department. During his time with SAPD he served in the patrol division, in the Honor Guard and also worked with DARE, and Community Services. In the State Park Police, Bigham’s duties include supervision of over a dozen officers, resource management for search and rescue missions, and incident commander for park events.

Bigham has been recognized with numerous awards in both departments, including the Officer of the Year in Community Service, and Stars in the Park awards. He also serves as an elected director on the board of the National Park Law Enforcement Convention.

Bigham holds a Bachelors degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from Mountain State University and a Master Police Officer certification from the State of Texas.

Bigham and his wife Angie have one son, Jason Bigham. Jason also serves in law enforcement with Texas Parks and Wildlife
