High School Girls Basketball Kicks Off Wednesday with First Day of Practice

SAN ANGELO, TX – Texas High School Girls Basketball kicks off Wednesday with the first day of practice.

The official start of the season will be Nov. 3 with games kicking off and Oct. 28 with the first day of scrimmages.

There were a ton of good girls' teams in the Concho Valley last year. The Central Lady Cats finished second in district but were bounced in the first round. The Wall Lady Hawks also finished second in district but made it to the second round before facing a tough Holliday team. Other stellar teams included the Veribest Lady Falcons and the Irion County Lady Hornets. Both of them had deep playoff runs.

The first day for the boys will be Oct. 25 for the first day of practice, Nov. 4 for the first day of scrimmages, and Nov. 10 is the first day for games.
