Son of Buc-ee's Co-Founder Arrested for Taking Lewd Recordings

 

AUSTIN— The son of Buc-ee’s co-founder has been arrested in Travis County and charged with invasive visual recording.

Mitchell Wasek, 28, the son of Buc-ee’s co-founder Don Wasek, is currently facing 28 counts of invasive visual recording. A guest at the family’s house near Lake Travis noticed a hidden camera in a charging port in a bathroom wall. The camera was taken from the house and the contents included other guests in various stages of undress, using the bathroom, showering and changing, and engaging in sexual activity.

The camera also contained footage of at least 13 people at the house on Lake Travis, as well as an Austin apartment and a home owned by the Waseks in Colorado.

Wasek was arrested and released on $280,000 bond.
