WALL, TX — A vehicle, resembling a Chevrolet Equinox, was entirely engulfed in flames following a collision with a larger SUV on U.S. 87 S at the Hawk Ave. crossing. Based on the crash damage, both vehicles seemed to have been traveling in the same direction.
The Wall Volunteer Fire Department, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Texas DPS were spotted at the scene investigating the crash after the flames engulfing the Equinox were extinguished. The incident led to a brief blockage of the northbound lanes towards San Angelo, affecting traffic flow.
Although no ambulances were observed at the scene, a law enforcement officer informed our reporter on site that there didn’t appear to be any severe injuries resulting from the collision.
The crash occurred just before 9 p.m., under clear weather conditions with dry roadways.
