SAN ANGELO – Construction crews continue to work on and around the maze that is currently the intersection of College Hills Blvd. and Sunset Dr. in San Angelo and city officials say the detours and driving headaches will continue for at least another month.

The construction is part of the total rebuilding project of College Hills Blvd. from Ave. N to Loop 306. The work includes replacing all underground utilities including water and sewer, repaving, signal lights, and stormwater control. The project is supposed to alleviate some of the flooding along the Red Arroyo on College Hills near Millbrook and Oxford.
College Hills is one of the projects included in the $80 million, ten year street rehabilitation plan which began with MLK Blvd. and included Bell St. and Southwest Blvd. Crews currently are working on Howard St. from Edmund to Pecos and then N. Chadbourne from the loop to Coliseum Dr. is on the list.
