Trump Returns to Twitter

ATLANTA, GA — The Former President of the United States made his return to Twitter Thursday night following his release from the Fulton County Jail.

Trump, who has been off of former Twitter and is now X, tweeted for the first since Jan. 8, 2021. The last communication was two days after the raid on the U.S.. Capital on Jan. 6.

In the tweet, Trump released a copy of his own mugshot. Along with it, the photo read "ELECTION INTERFERENCE NEVER SURRENDER! DONALDJTRUMP.COM." As of Friday morning the tweet has over 1.2 million likes.

Trump was booked into jail after being indicted by a Georgia Grand Jury on 13 felonies including RICO charges.

Despite his arrest, Trump is standing firm on his decision to say the 2020 election was dishonest and "stolen" by the democrats.
