SAN ANGELO, TX — Tuesday, August 8, marks National Whataburger Day, and Whataburger says it is giving away free burgers all day to celebrate the occasion. The burger chain says that it's celebrating its 73rd birthday by giving back to local communities, according to a press release.
“In celebration of the brand’s 73rd birthday, Whataburger is proudly proclaiming August 8 National Whataburger Day,” the release said. “From free Whataburgers, to relieving student school lunch debt across our communities, and even rolling out the orange carpet for some special fans and Family Members, there are ways for everyone to get in on the celebration.”
As reported in an earlier article, Whataburger’s charity will be “relieving $73,000 of school lunch debt for children in communities across our footprint.”
To take advantage of the celebration:
- Download the Whataburger App on the App Store for iOS or get it on Google Play for Android.
- Create a Whataburger Rewards account. It's free to sign up!
- Have placed at least one order on the app within the past 12 months to be considered an active user.
The digital offer can only be redeemed once. Offer valid at participating locations.
For the table tent collectors, on August 8, Whataburger will be handing out limited quantities of inaugural National Whataburger Day table tents to Guests who visit the restaurant on Tuesday.
“But that’s not the only way to snag a collectible table tent. For one-day only on August 8, Whataburger is also giving away National Whataburger Day table tents to everyone who chooses to celebrate with some retail therapy on Whatastore.com, while supplies last,” the burger chain said.
San Angelo currently has three Whataburger locations. One is located at 3202 Sherwood Way, another at 1830 N Bryant Boulevard, and the last is located at 4646 Knickerbocker Road.
