SAN ANGELO, TX — The Adidas Titans youth baseball organization will host an MLB-affiliated Jr Home Run Derby this weekend in San Angelo. The premiere select baseball team wants all the kids in town who love baseball to come out and have a great time. The Home Run Derby will be held on Saturday, June 10, at the SAY baseball complex on Arden Rd starting at 1 p.m.
“We aim to have a fun, family-friendly event,” the Adidas Titans San Angelo Area Director, Andy Sarabia, said.
Players in the 10U (10 & under), 12U (12 & under), and 14U (14 & under) age groups are welcome to come out and compete. Division winners will advance to the regional competition, and regional winners can advance to the National Finals, which take place during the 2023 MLB All-Star Game in Seattle later this summer. The fields will be shortened to ensure a "hitter-friendly" competition. (10U fences will be 125', and 12-14U fences will be 200').

According to the MLB’s (Major League Baseball) website, “These local events give youth organizations an opportunity to supply a free, fun, and high-quality experience for their participants. Even more, they aim to help the local group markets expand their programs while building a strong relationship with MLB and its partners.”
