NWS Issues Urban & Small Stream Flood Advisory for San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for the city of San Angelo and the surrounding area effective until 10:45 a.m. Thursday.  

A line of strong thunderstorms was indicated by radar stretching from north of Mertzon to Grape Creek which was dumping about one inch of rain per hour.  The storm will dump an additional inch to 1.5 inches on San Angelo as it passes.  

The heavy rain will cause street flooding across San Angelo and small stream flooding in rural areas.
