SAN ANGELO – A line of heavy thunderstorms parked over the city of San Angelo Friday night dumping up to 3 inches in some areas sending creeks, streams, arroyos out of their banks and flooding streets and low lying areas.

Rain chances continue all week in the forecast for the Concho Valley with heavy rain expected to redevelop Saturday and Sunday.

Watch video below of the Concho River at Irving St., the dam by Bart Dewitt Park, and Bell St, and from College Hills Blvd. and the Red Arroyo:

Friday night's flooding stranded several motorists and vehicles were still abandoned on the roadways at Sul Ross and the Red Arroyo, Forest Trail and the Red Arroyo, and College Hills Blvd. at Champions Circle.
