Jail Bookings Spike on Thursday

 

Traffic into and out of the county jail on Thursday was heavy, as 34 inmates were booked and another 40 were released from the correctional facility. 

Of those jailed, 17 were booked on offenses alleged to have been committed within the last 24 hours, including two charged with pot, two with public intoxication and one person apiece jailed for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault, DWI, injury to a child/elderly/disabled person and resisting arrest. 

Seven of those booked on Thursday were women.
