AUSTIN – Timothy Cordero and Jacob Kyle were arrested for responding to an online advertisement seeking sexual encounters with minors and subsequently traveling to a predetermined meeting location in Victoria, Texas. According to investigators, Kyle and Cordero have been charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, a felony punishable by at least two years in prison.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the results of a joint undercover operation between the Attorney General’s Child Exploitation Unit and the Victoria Police Department on Tuesday.
“I commend the efforts of law enforcement who work to take dangerous predators off the Internet,” Paxton said. “My office remains committed to using the latest technology in order to catch online child predators and bring them to justice.”
The Texas Attorney General’s Office works to protect children by taking child predators off the Internet and into jail, proactively seeking out and arresting predators who commit crimes against children using technology and the Internet. They utilize the latest technology to track down some of the most profoundly evil predators on the Internet.
