Man Leads DPS on Chase Through Odessa Hauling 377 Pounds of Pot in a Dodge Dually

 

Friday, a Texas DPS Trooper patrolling Interstate 20 attempted to make a traffic stop on a blue Dodge dually out of Presidio in Ector County.

The DPS Trooper noticed an unsecured load in the bed of the pickup and attempted to stop the vehicle for driving on the shoulder. The driver fled from Troopers in the vehicle throughout West Odessa resulting in the vehicle getting stuck in the mud and the driver absconded near FM 1936 and 3rd Street in West Odessa. 

DPS Troopers recovered 377 lbs. of Marijuana (worth $2,288,013.00) from the vehicle. DPS requests if the public has any information regarding this incident, to contact the DPS Odessa Texas Highway Patrol. This incident remains under investigation.
