4 Tourists Murdered on Resort Beach in Cancun

CANCUN, QR – Four bodies were discovered on a Cancun resort hotel's beach and officials there say the individuals were murdered.

According to multiple reports, on Apr. 3, 2023, four bodies were discovered on a resort hotel's beach. Although the identities of the individuals have not been revealed, it was confirmed that three of the bodies were found on the beach while the fourth was found in undergrowth on the same lot.

The murders happened at the Cancun's beachside hotels along Kukulkan Boulevard. Two suspects have been arrested in relation to the murders.  

The U.S. State Department issued a travel alert earlier this month warning travelers to "exercise increased caution," especially after dark, at Mexico's Caribbean beach resorts like Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum, which have been plagued by drug gang violence in the past.
