San Angelo Men Indicted for Crimes Against Children

 

SAN ANGELO‑ Several San Angelo men have been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for sexual crimes against children.

In January, several individuals were indicted on obscene crimes against children including possession of child pornography and sexual assault of a child.

Clifton Barry Martin Jr. was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury on two counts of sexual assault of a child.  

On November 22, 2022, investigators executed a search warrant for Martin’s cell phone. The phone was located in Martin’s pocket and when interviewed by investigators, Martin allegedly admitted there was child pornography on the phone.

During a search of the phone, investigators located over 400 files (pictures, videos, animated gifs) which contained obvious child pornography. Many of the files showed very young children and toddlers being sexually abused and raped by adult men and one image containing bestiality. Also, investigators located a text message exchange where a victim, who was 14 years old at the time, that accused Martin of raping her.

On December 6, 2022, an interview with the victim was conducted where she stated on or around November 10, 2022, Martin allegedly took her to a hotel room, gave her meth to smoke, then “held her down” and raped her on the bed.

Martin was also indicted on eight counts of child pornography. According to court documents, on November 29, 2022, investigators executed another search warrant on a REVVL 5 cell phone and other electronics in Martin’s possession at a residence on East 29th Street.

Clifton was located and detained by law enforcement on scene while the search was being conducted. The REVVL 5 cell phone was located in Martin’s pocket and Martin allegedly told investigators the phone belongs to him.

During an interview, Martin allegedly admitted that the cell phone contained numerous files, pictures and videos, of child sexual abuse material and child pornography that were downloaded off the internet.

Investigators looked though the phone and found more than 10 files containing obscene images of children. The files had young, female children, about six-years-old, in the nude, and either posing or performing sexual acts on adult men.

Martin is currently an inmate at the Tom Green County Detention Facility and is being held on $750,000 bond.

Isaac Mojica was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, in early 2021, a Sergeant with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. NCMEC provided information at on January 6, 2021, Dropbox reported an unknown person using the fake name “Howie Michaels” had uploaded suspected child pornography.

Dropbox provided the video file to NCMEC, who sent the file to the Sheriff’s Office, who submitted a Grand Jury Subpoena to Suddenlink, who then provided the IP address associated with the Dropbox account.

Mojica was located by the Sergeant on Facebook under the name Howie Michaels. Mojica was located at another address in San Angelo and an interview was conducted with him. Mojica allegedly admitted to viewing child sexual abuse material in early 2021. Mojica also allegedly admitted that “Howie Michaels” was a fake screen name that was picked at random.

Miles Morales was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office a cyber tip report regarding child pornography. On October 31, 2022, an interview on conducted with Morales where he allegedly admitted to possession, viewing, sharing, and distributing child pornography. Morales also allegedly admitted to soliciting images and videos from children.

A special agent was given consent to go through Morales’s iPad and cellphone. The special agent located a social media platform where Morales had shared eight images of female children engaging in sexual performance.

On another social media platform, Morales was talking with a female child who identified as 16 years old. Morales allegedly attempted to solicit the child for videos of the child performing sexual acts, which the child did.

Also, the special agent located numerous images of child pornography on Morales’ iPad.

Morales is currently an inmate in the Tom Green County Detention Facility being held on $35,000 bond.

Dylan Jesus Salas was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for possession of child pornography.

The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office received a NCMEC cyber tip which provided information showing an unknown person, using the Snapchat account “thekingbeast_10” had uploaded a video file containing suspected child pornography on November 17, 2021.

A grand jury subpoena was submitted to Suddenlink, who provided an IP address located on the 2700 block of Raney Street in San Angelo. Using that information, investigators used an intelligence database that discovered Salas.

Salas was interviewed at the Sheriff’s Office and stated he has viewed media files on TikTok before that showed young people and he allegedly admitted that he had viewed and saved child sexual abuse material and child pornography on his cell phone in the past.

The file contained images of a six-year-old male child in the nude performing sexual acts with an adult female.

Salas was booked on January 5, 2023 and released on January 6, 2023 on $20,000 bond.
