SAN ANGELO – A 19-year-old San Angelo man has been arrested for attempting to blackmail a minor girl into send him nude images.
According to court documents, on December 5, 2022, investigators spoke with a detective with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office in Frankfurt, Indiana. The detective from Clinton County explained that a 13-year-old female in his jurisdiction had been chatting with a “Juelz” in San Angelo, Texas.
The detective said that the juvenile has sent “Juelz” a partially nude picture of herself voluntarily. Then, “Juelz” started blackmailing the child into sending more explicit photos. He threatened to release the photo he had to all her friends if she did not send him another photo, which she did.
Investigators were able to identify “Juelz” as Juelz Sincere Armstead. On December 8, 2022, a search warrant for Armstead’s iPhone was issued which resulting in the cell phone being seized. In an interview with Armstead, he allegedly admitted to talking to the 13-year-old and blackmailing her for additional nude photos.
A search of Armstead’s cellphone revealed several nude photos of the minor child and several videos showing unknown underage female’s private areas.
Armstead was arrested and booked on December 27, 2022 and was released on $35,000 bond on December 29, 2022.
