WATCH: Crash in Front of New McDonalds Snarls Traffic

 

SAN ANGELO – One driver was issued a citation Tuesday morning for causing a crash at the intersection of S. Bryant Blvd. and Ave. N in front of the newly opened McDonald's fast food restaurant.  

According to San Angelo Police Department Public Information Office Spokesperson Officer Kelsey Hernandez at the scene, a white Ford Ranger was traveling through the intersection with a green light.  

A gray Chevy Colorado pickup was northbound on Bryant Blvd. and disregarded a red light.

Officer Hernandez says the driver of the Colorado crashed into the Ranger in the intersection.  Both drivers were examined at the scene for injuries by San Angelo emergency responders.  

The driver of the Colorado, a 53-year-old woman, was issued a citation for disregarding the red light.  

Neither driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
