The Bank & Trust is Collecting Donations for Acuna Tornado Victims

All branches of The Bank & Trust are collecting donations for the victims of the tornado that devastated Ciudad Acuña this holiday weekend. The storm has left many of our South Texas neighbors without homes, businesses and necessities.

In an effort to help ease the pain they are experiencing, The Bank & Trust is collecting supplies to transport to Acuña. “We are working closely with the local service organization Cáritas de Acuña, and the municipalities to collect and deliver the needed and accepted supplies,” said Del Rio Market President Shannalea Taylor.

“The community is especially in need of canned goods, bottled water, dry goods, hygiene products, baby formula, diapers, and cleaning supplies at this time,” said Willie Hyslop of The Bank & Trust. Hyslop has worked with the service organization and the municipal entities since the storm occurred to offer some relief to the victims.

The Bank & Trust is also accepting monetary donation deposits. Visit a Bank & Trust branch, and make your donation payable to Caritas De Acuna A C, and your donation will be directly donated to the local service organization, Cáritas de Acuña.

“Acuña is our neighbor, and our hearts are truly broken for the devastation they are experiencing. As a community, we are feverishly working to offer some small relief for their pain,” said Taylor.
At this time clothing donations are not being accepted at the bank branches as these donations are not currently being allowed into Ciudad Acuña.
