SAN ANGELO, TX – The 'Welcome to San Angelo' sign on the north side of town was vandalized the past weekend.
According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Dec. 12, 2022, at around 8:45 a.m., officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the 400 block of W. 4th St. for the report of a criminal mischief.
When they arrived on scene, officers made contact with an employee from the City of San Angelo and learned that unknown suspect or suspects had spray painted the "Welcome to San Angelo Sign" with red spray paint.
Officers obtained the necessary information for the report and documented the incident. No suspects have been identified at this time.
