SAN ANGELO – Tuesday is the midterm election day and the culmination of years of effort for some candidates. The Tuesday election will determine who leads the state of Texas for the next four years and thousands of local races across the state including everything from Governor to county elected offices and including state offices from State Representative to appeals court judges.
In Tom Green County, all the local races were decided in the Republican primary process in the spring. The Tom Green County Democrat Party fielded no candidates for any office. Of note, Lane Carter is the Republican nominee for Tom Green County Judge. There are no other party affiliated candidates on the ballot.
Gary Jenkins is a write in candidate for Tom Green County Judge after failing to secure enough signatures to appear on the ballot as an independent candidate.
The most talked about issue on the local ballot is the proposed ordinance that would make San Angelo a Sanctuary City for the Unborn.
Below is a list of Polling Locations in Tom Green County for Tuesday.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
